You may recognize her from various TV roles including Netflix’s Grace and Frankie\, HBO’s Getting On\, and most recently Netflix’s Obliterated. She continues as the opening act for Ben Folds\, where she’ll be performing her brand of theatrical pop songs\, including selections from her musical love\, me\, a one-woman show recently workshopped in LA for a live album.

The dancing! The songs! Grease\, the Musical comes to the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center for our community’s spring high school musical\, the not-to-be-missed annual event before spring break comes and ski season winds down. This 1970s classic set in the 1950s is a throw-back to drag racing\, sock hops and drive in movies with a score of favorite songs like Greased Lightning\,’ “Hand-Jive” and “We Go Together.” Sure to be a sell out; locals have been asking for this show for over a decade. \nPlease Note \nThis musical (like the movie you and your kids have watched on television) has a minor plot line around teenage pregnancy and characters who smoke\, drink\,  lightly swear\, and the existence (or non-existence) of sex is a significant plot line although easy to miss with all the be-bopping and jive on stage. DESCRIPTION:“It’s one of the most astonishing sounds a human body can produce.” — Washington Post\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThroat Singers from the Republic of Tuva \nAlash are masters of Tuvan throat singing\, a remarkable technique for singing multiple pitches at the same time. They are also masters of traditional Tuvan instruments. They are deeply committed to traditional Tuvan music and culture\, and at the same time they are fans of western music. Believing that traditional music must constantly evolve\, these talented musicians subtly infuse their songs with western elements\, creating their own unique style that is fresh and new but still true to their Tuvan musical heritage. \nWhat Does Throat Singing Sound Like? \n“Imagine a human bagpipe—a person who could sing a sustained low note while humming an eerie\, whistle-like melody. For good measure\, toss in a thrumming rhythm similar to that of a jaw harp\, but produced vocally-by the same person\, at the same time.”— Newsweek \nTuva (sometimes spelled Tyva) sits at the southern edge of Siberia\, with Mongolia to its south. Over the centuries\, Tuva has been part of Chinese and Mongolian empires\, and shares many cultural ties with Mongolia. With support from Kosiak’s friends Jill Bough and Liz McRae\, the three recruited female artists of all ages to participate. “I want to promote women in Big Sky who are just living everyday life but want to do something special with their talents\,” Kosiak said.  “Many are hesitant at first\, but this evening is so special and once they perform for the first time\, they often want to do it again.”Each year proceeds from Her Gift/Her Creation support non-profits in Big Sky.

Arriving at the Harthouse Hotel on Christmas Eve\, Estella discovers that the mortgage holder is none other than her childhood sweetheart\, Pip Nickleby. Always the humanitarian\, Pip has generously transformed the property into a refuge for the distraught\, disabled and displaced. A freak snowstorm forces Estella\, much to her dismay\, to take refuge at Harthouse. That night\, as it happened to her ancestor Ebenezer long ago\, she too is haunted by three visitations. DESCRIPTION:The fall season begins on Sunday\, October 6 with artist and cello player Gideon Freudmann. Freudmann performs live soundtracks for classic silent films with his cello and real-time digital effects. His imaginative\, original accompaniment breathes new life into this classic art\, bringing the best of cinema and live music to another level and to new audiences. He’ll be performing alongside “Sherlock Jr\,” the timeless 1924 Buster Keaton silent comedy about a movie projectionist who dreams of being a great detective. Freudmann is a founding member of the Portland Cello project and world-renowned composer for the instrument.
