With a mix of large and small pieces\, and price points as diverse as the art\, the Big Sky Artists’ Collective strives to make this an event where there is truly something for everyone\, including an evening event providing a chance to get to know these local artists. \nFeaturing the fine art of members of the Big Sky Artists’ Collective\, a non-profit cooperative of over 30 distinguished local artists\, the 2025 sale will once again feature the popular Whiskey\, Wine and Art + Meet the Artists evening\, Saturday August 30th from 5pm – 8pm. SUMMARY:Big Sky Artists' Studio & Gallery: Paint Under the Big Sky!
DESCRIPTION:They are back!  You may see artists painting anywhere in Big Sky and the Gallatin Canyon for the third annual Paint Under the Big Sky from now until the end of June.  Twenty-eight artists from across the nation are painting in the area between Spanish Creek Road to Taylor Fork Road\, capturing the beauty and majesty the Big Sky area has to offer. \nThe opening reception for the public is Saturday evening\, June 28\, from 5-8PM. Artist awards\, compliments of The Lone Mountain Land Company and others\, will be conferred at 6PM. This event is an opportunity to meet the artists as well as to have “first pick” of the beautiful creations. \nPaintings will be displayed and sold through July 31 at the Big Sky Artists’ Studio and Gallery at 88 Ousel Falls Road. \nPlein air is a French expression meaning “in the open air”\, where artists paint landscapes on location outdoors in one or more sittings. Plein air painters have become an important historical resource to record and capture local scenery with emotion and passion for future generations. \nPlein Air Kids 2025 returns this year where 36 children\, ages 6-15\, will complete a plein air painting.  Registration for this event is still open\, so swing by the gallery to pick up a free painting kit for each child. Ryan Drewes large photographs bring Rustic Americana to life and MB Morand’s monoprints are a fresh and unique take on Rodeo Memories. \nBoth shows are nostalgic reminders of simpler days\, rodeos\, and the summer season. \nWe hope you’ll stop in to see this new original work and to also view new work from the permanent members of the Studio and Gallery. \nWe will be hosting our FIRST FRIDAY summer evening on \nFriday June 6 from 5 – 7PM. \nWe welcome locals and visitors to come by for sips and bits and an opportunity to meet and support the artists who make up the Big Sky Artists Collective. \nThe Gallery is now on summer hours\, open daily from 11 – 6PM\, and later\, depending on weather\, on Farmers Market Wednesdays.
