This week\, we are thrilled to welcome the raucous energy and vibrant bluegrass flair of Big Richard. The concert takes place in Len Hill Park in the Big Sky Town Center and is family-friendly and free! Food and beverage vendors will be available. \nPlease remember that NO DOGS\, NO GLASS CONTAINERS\, and most importantly\, NO PERSONAL FIREWORKS are allowed in the park. The park opens at 6 p.m.\, with music kicking off at 6:30 p.m. with emerging artist Honeyholler\, followed by Big Richard at 8 p.m. \nTonight’s Headlining Band\nBig Richard\nSince exploding onto the Colorado scene in 2021\, the four women of the supergroup Big Richard have been on a wild ride. Armed with homemade puff paint t-shirts\, a load of crass jokes\, and dressed intentionally like Stevie Nicks\, their tight vocal harmonies\, dazzling string virtuosity\, and clever arrangements made them an instant force in the bluegrass world. From their first gig\, they quickly proved they were much more than a novelty act. \nWith a steady diet of gas station snacks\, Big Richard has toured nationwide\, gaining fans across the country for their honest songwriting\, chilling vocals\, and fiddle-driven barn-burners. Currently touring their debut full-length studio album Girl Dinner\, their whirlwind year has included performances on PBS’ The Cavern Sessions\, NPR’s World Cafe\, Telluride Bluegrass Festival\, Delfest\, Bourbon and Beyond\, Jam Cruise\, and New Year’s Eve at the Ryman in Nashville. This week\, we’re thrilled to welcome the dynamic sounds of Hot Buttered Rum\, a band that effortlessly blends bluegrass\, folk\, jazz\, and soul into an electrifying Americana experience. The concert takes place in Len Hill Park in the Big Sky Town Center and is family-friendly and free! Food and beverage vendors will be available. Please remember that NO DOGS\, NO GLASS CONTAINERS\, and most importantly\, NO PERSONAL FIREWORKS are allowed in the park. DESCRIPTION:September at the Big Sky Artists’ Studio & Gallery in the Town Center brings new photographs from Thomas Reed in his show: “WILD WEST.” \nThomas’s interest in photography started as a teenager in the 80s. He became particularly interested in wildlife after he and his wife went on a safari in Africa. Today\, his focus is primarily on photographing wildlife across the American west\, in their natural habitats. Learning about the area and the habits of the animals is an important part of his work. \nThe FIRST FRIDAY opening of the show will be on Friday\, September 5th from 5 – 7pm. Locals and visitors are welcome to join us for Sips and Bits. It’s a great chance to meet the artists and members of the Big Sky Artists Collective and to see art from local artists and photographers. \nThe Big Sky Artists’ Studio and Gallery and many other merchants in the Town Center will be open on the FIRST FRIDAY of every month throughout the year from 5Pm till 7 . The Studio & Gallery will always have a new show opening on the First Friday and other merchants may also have something special that evening.
