Today\, his focus is primarily on photographing wildlife across the American west\, in their natural habitats. Learning about the area and the habits of the animals is an important part of his work. \nThe FIRST FRIDAY opening of the show will be on Friday\, September 5th from 5 – 7pm. Locals and visitors are welcome to join us for Sips and Bits. It’s a great chance to meet the artists and members of the Big Sky Artists Collective and to see art from local artists and photographers. \nThe Big Sky Artists’ Studio and Gallery and many other merchants in the Town Center will be open on the FIRST FRIDAY of every month throughout the year from 5Pm till 7 . As part of the Haunted Peaks Fall Festival\, this free\, family-centered event invites the community to gather in reflection\, storytelling\, music\, and tradition. \nSchedule of Events \n\nNoon – 7 PM | Community altar open\nNoon – 2 PM | Ofrenda making (bring photos\, flowers\, or favorite foods of your loved ones)\n2 – 3:30 PM | Calaveras Literarias Story & Poetry Circle\n4 PM | Presentation of Las Catrinas\n4 – 7 PM | Street Fiesta with Mariachi Zavala\, traditional foods\, and children’s activities\n\nFamilies are invited from 12–4 p.m. for kids’ activities and cultural storytelling. The celebration continues into the evening with live music\, food\, and community gathering. Lesser Known Collective will also be preforming and providing a quiet space. All are welcome to contribute photos\, flowers\, and favorite foods of their loved ones to the altar. \nThis event is supported in part by a grant from the Montana Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts\, with additional support from community volunteers and partners. DESCRIPTION:Big Sky continues to change in November. It’s quieter. It’s colder. It’s windier. The days are shorter. The snow comes more often\, but still followed by warm “Indian summer” days. In November\,  Big Sky Artists’ Studio & Gallery continues to celebrate “FALL COLORS” and is still hanging new work. Even though it’s the off season\, we’ll host a First Friday event. Locals and visitors are welcome – stop in and say hello on Friday November 7th\, from 5 – 7PM for sips and bits. This is a chance to meet member artists\, and take in the beauty of Big Sky during this time of the year as captured by them. \nOpen daily 11am – 5\, closed Tuesday and Wednesday in November. 88 Ousel Falls Road in the Town Center.
