The Pie Auction returns to Buck’s on Saturday, February 20th at 7 p.m. “Before the gymnasium at Ophir was built, we were the gathering place for school events, shows, sports and the first Pie Auction,” said Chuck Schommer, of Buck’s T-4. This is the largest fundraiser of the year for Ophir School Council. The event, which began as a simple auction of homemade pies to raise money for incidental expenses at Ophir is now the number one fund-raising event for the school and provides the bulk of the funding necessary to pay for the ski and swim programs, field trips, classroom supplies, artists in residence and more.
