Delilah, a 500 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, has developed a six week series of Prenatal Yoga Classes for the Moms to be of Big Sky. In this class breath and breathing will receive a great deal of attention, using the breath to promote circulation of blood and oxygen as well as anchor the mind.

Moms to be often find the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy to be difficult and confusing. In class the ups and downs will be recognized, honored and demystified. We will work on stretching joints and muscles and the mind in preparation for birthing. The “asanas” or poses used in class are modified and safe for the healthy expectant Mom beyond the first trimester. They are designed to foster body and breath awareness.

Each class will address the changing body and its needs. Time will be devoted to reducing anxiety about the pregnancy and birth and beyond. Through the class, the moms will develop strength, flexibility and an overall sense of well-being. We will learn postures to help alleviate low back discomfort so often present in the second and third trimesters.

The class will include Integrative Relaxation and Visual Imaging, tools that are helpful in everyday life and even more helpful during labor and birthing. The structure of each session is designed to allow all participants individual instruction. Please call Delilah at 406-581-2442 to register; class size is limited to assure personal attention for everyone. Call too if you have questions or need arrange a payment plan.
