The Big Sky Town Center would like to thank the community of Big Sky for embracing the new Town Center Park and Center Stage. Summer events held in the new community park saw record attendance and good times were had by all.
July brought the First Annual Big Sky Flyfishing Festival, which boasted nearly 20 vendors and educational seminars by Bluewater Task Force, Yellowdog Flyfishing Adventures and Craig Mathews. Families to see casting demos by Mike Atwell and Maggie Merriman. Lone Mountain Ranch and Gallatin River Guides presented the event.
The Arts Council of Big Sky presented their annual free concert series “Music in the Mountains” on the new stage. Acts included everything from
bluegrass, to jazz, to zydeco and country.
The Chamber of Commerce presented the 35th Annual Country Fair and Festival of the arts. Families enjoyed arts and crafts vendors, an array of food vendors, a climbing wall and live music.
The cast of Shakespeare in the Park was overjoyed by the new stage and large lawn for their audience. This year’s production was Julius Ceasar.
