Mark the date - Friday July 24th - for a not-to-miss family event extravaganza! The Town Center is planning a drive-in movie to help raise awareness for Big Sky’s growing trail system. All proceeds from ticket sales, and a percentage of the food/drink proceeds will be donated to the non-profit Big Sky Community Corporation’s trails program.

“Success is bodies showing up,” says Len Piotrowski of Green Globe Productions, “which is why we’re going to make it very affordable!” Prices are expected to be $20 per car, which will encourage ‘creativity’ in getting friends to cram in the back seat or the bed of the pickup. There will also be a limited number of Premium Tailgate Party spots, which are expected to go for $50. Campers, canopy tents, and larger vehicles will be permitted in the tailgate spots.

Green Globe Productions is helping the Town Center with the logistics of pulling off such an event, and they have secured the 13’ x 45’ screen, projector, FM broadcast system, and other components for the event. To hear the movie, movie goers will tune their car radio to a certain radio frequency.

The Town Center is planning to show a couple of shorter, locally-produced action/adventure films, including a fly fishing documentary/adventure film, as the warm-up to the Hollywood feature film, The World's Fastest Indian. “We would like to have the local cinematographers on-hand to introduce their films– I think that would be really great," notes Ryan Hamilton of the Town Center.  The feature film is suitable for most everyone, so bring your family!

They expect to be able to fit about 250 vehicles, plus about 20 Premium TailgateParty spots.
