Mark your calendar and show your support for the First Annual Big Sky Fly Fishing Festival coming to Big Sky on Monday, July 5th. Bring your kids, spouse, family and friends to the new Pavilion Park, across from the Big Sky golf course, at the Town Center, for a fun-filled day of fly fishing instruction, entertainment, good food, and environmental conservation!
Starting at 2pm there will activities for kids of all ages. Mike Atwell will be providing casting demonstrations. Presentations by local experts including Craig Matthews, will touch on the topics of conservation, travel, area waters and much more. Derek DeYoung, a great local artist will be creating a masterpiece before your very eyes. Betsey French and Maggie Merriman will be conducting a women’s clinic, and there will be games, casting and activities for the kids. Several local manufacturers including Ro Drift Boats, Dr. Slick and Winston will be on hand with the latest and greatest gear and tackle. There will be great give-a-ways, a Pig Roast with all the fixings by The Bluebird Cafe, and live music by Tumbledown House to cap off the day.
