Lone Mountain Ranch, Montana’s premier cross country ski resort, will host its annual Nordic Fest and Winter Trails Day on Saturday, January 9, 2010.

“This has become an annual tradition for many local skiers as they experience the wonderful skiing on Lone Mountain Ranch trails with family and friends”, said Nancy Cooke, Director of Sales and Marketing. “

The Nordic Fest will begin at 9:00am and run until 3:00pm. Registration is at the Ranch’s Nordic Ski Shop. For only $5.00 participants will receive a trail pass for the day, gather rentals if needed and find out about mini- lessons. Discount coupons for Winter 2009/10 trail passes and sleigh ride dinners will be available. Interested participants can call the Nordic Ski Shop at 406-995-4734 for more information.

After working up an appetite, skiers can head over to the Ranch Dining Lodge for the hearty Skier’s Buffet Lunch, served from 12:00-2:00pm. Homemade soups, a full salad bar, hot entrees and homemade breads and desserts fill up even the hungriest skier!

For information about this event, please call Nancy Cooke at (406)995-4644.

Lone Mountain Ranch was voted the #1 Nordic Ski Resort in North America in a Cross Country Skier Magazine poll. The Ranch has nearly 90 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails, as well as first class accommodations, cuisine and hospitality in a historic western ranch setting.
