Five new businesses have opened their doors in the past few months, including a new coffee shop, an antiques and home furnishing store, an architecture office, and two real estate offices.

The Big Sky Buzz offers up that morning cup of joe and tasty pastries from the Gourmet Gals of Big Sky. You will be welcomed inside by Buzz the mannequin. Scott Johnson, co-owner of The Cave Spirits and Gifts was inspired by a relative, who is also an entrepreneur, to open the coffee shop. Buzz invites you to stop in to warm-up and enjoy the flat screen TV and free WiFi at their new location in the Market Place Building on Lone Peak Drive.

Effortlessly elegant is just one way to describe Big Sky’s newest retail experience, Dragonfly Interiors. Owner and designer Terye Loble invites residents and their guests and vacationers to enjoy spending time among her collection of carefully selected home accents with a contemporary and thoughtful freshness.  If you are looking for interior elements and accessories that singularly define a room, ignite conversation or express your design sensibilities, your choices are many and inspired. What makes Dragonfly Interiors such a visual and textual delight is that it’s clear each piece has been individually gathered from extraordinary and uncommon places and juxtaposed with confidence and creativity in a previously unimagined yet compelling fashion.  Visit them in the Market Place building next to The Root for Life and Big Sky Buzz.

This summer, Pearson Design Group Inc. joined the Town Center in their new office on Ousel Falls Road. Founded in 1997 by Larry Pearson, AIA, the firm employees a small staff offering master planning, architecture, and interior design services. Pearson Design Group views architecture as a historical continuum of scale, proportion, detail, texture, and color that is rooted in tradition.  Their process is interactive and collaborative, involving a team dedicated to your project (architects, designers, project managers, engineers, and interior designers). Their process typically involves multiple ideas quickly drawn, modeled, and presented, so that a sense of authorship by the client and the team members exists in the final product.  In a world built on repetitive units and economies of scale, they prefer to celebrate the idiosyncratic and find the personality of architecture.

Opening next door to each other are real estate offices Big Sky Sotheby’s International Realty and PureWest Properties.

The Big Sky Sotheby’s International Realty agents are highly specialized in the local market with each agent living in the Big Sky area year-round. Their agents, including Jefferson Helms, offer a high level of service to their buyers and sellers by providing an honest approach to each transaction and standing by their responsibilities as licensed real estate agents. As a part of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand, they offer sellers a discerning audience and buyers an exclusive selection of properties in Big Sky and around the world. You can visit the staff at 123 Lone Peak Drive, Suite #5.

A Christie’s Great Estates affiliate, PureWest Properties is a premier real estate concierge brokerage specializing in prestige properties. Their use of technology in communication, research and management allows real-time mastery of the market as it evolves, providing their agents with the capacity to serve each client with maximum effectiveness. At PureWest, they maintain a current understanding of lifestyle, local developments, and real estate trends. Agents Ania Bulis, Jason Parks, and Branif Scott invite you to visit them at their office located at 107 Lone Peak Dr., Suite #3.
